The Arab Spring continues to blossom, in sporadic and unexpected ways: Spring interrupted by the chill of westerly wind, and spring fruitful of blooms in the gardens of the East, catapulted by human movement and chants of change.

Dancer Justin Mashouf has choreographed a piece that expresses the rally of a new spring captured in the movements occurring all over the Middle East through the movement of the human body. His piece, “Spring Movements” intersperses memorable footage of protests from the last few months with the intricate and agile choreography of two dancers on the screen. What results is a sincere form of artistic expression speaking with the cause of the people.
