“With Love, Magic and Art, We Shall Overcome”

These words symbolize the power of writing and art on a wall. In this TED Talk, Estria Miyashiro’s speaks about his youth mural group repainting a faded old mural of Martin Luther King, Jr., in a school yard of San Francisco’s Mission District. He distinguishes how the media has manipulated our understanding of Graffiti as a negative form of expression. Instead, he chooses to emphasize this artform as “Writing” to highlight it’s transformative effect in communities around the world.

  • Your nice blog is worth a read if anyone comes across it. Im lucky used to do because now Ive got a completely new view of the. I didnt realise that it issue was so important therefore universal. You definitely indicated in perspective for everybody, thanks for the fantatic facts.
