Conflict and Subculture :: Yallah Underground
Yet another creative project coming out of the experimental classes of Beirut. Yallah Undergound is a documentary in production that captures the underground music scene in the Middle East, drawing parallels between musicians and styles in urban centres like Amman, Cairo and Beirut. The trailer shows interviews and soundbytes from artists such as Rayess Bek, I-Voice, Scrambled Eggs, and The New Government and plays like a visual mixtape of the closeknit Lebanese alternative scene.
Some of the artists featured in the documentary will be part of a photography exhibit called “Music is Life” in London on November 14th.
Yallah, check out the trailer for a taste of the Lebanese underground musical scene.

I love this article! I found the story when released to be the biggest joke I had ever heard. I got a good laugh and moved on. Thanks for showing that I could laugh again at the story.
