This Is Worldtown has been at NXNE– North by Northeast– a five day music (and film) fest, this year from June 17 to June 21, in Toronto, Canada, featuring hundreds of bands from North America and beyond, at more than 40 venues across the city, with about 5 acts a night per venue. Whew.

We have been on the frontlines covering as much ground as possible, taking in the style, sound, and politics of a fest like this.

Look out for our NXNE 2009 Round Up once we have a moment at the end of the weekend.

Share your NXNE 2009 stories, picks, photos, videos, audio, critiques and commentary with us at: info (at) thisisworldtown.com

So far, some our top picks for tunes to load up on your personal music player:

Apostle of Hustle

Yoshi

Delhi 2 Dublin

Grand Analog

God Made Me Funky
